Inspired by the Loreto National Marine Reserve, dedicated by the Mexican government to protect the thousands of species of marine life in the Sea of Cortés, we have set aside 5,000 acres of the land surrounding Loreto Bay as a natural preserve. A sanctuary for native plants and wildlife, our natural preserve reaches through the Sonoran Desert into the Sierra de la Giganta mountain range. You’ll find trails for hiking, cycling and horseback riding plus organic farming and orchards, which will supply the resort and residents with fresh produce.

Escape into nature
Explore the hidden canyons of the mountains that wait close to the town and The Villages. Hike arroyos (the rivers of sand) and discover tranquil oases tucked away in the desert. You’ll find towering palms, ancient cacti and hundreds of unique species of plants and animals that are unique to the Baja Peninsula.
